Comcast May Offer 105Mbps Shortly

It may be possible to receive broadband at speeds of 105 Mbps from Comcast as early as next week. Oddly enough Comcast has not widely promoted this but a customer has posted a copy of his most recent bill with the following statement on it.

Extreme 105 Cable Modem Internet service, which will be available on or around June 1, 2010. Extreme 105 Internet service provides download speeds of up to 105 Mbps and Upstream speeds of up to 10 Mbps and requires an Arris WBM760 modem. A Netgear WNR3500 router is also available for this service for no additional charge. The monthly price for this service is $199.95 per month. Professional installation is required for a fee of $249.00. Prices exclude modem rental and any taxes or fees.
