Who wants to go fast? A wind-powered car has just been measured in the U.S. traveling downwind, get this… faster than the wind itself. The astonishing run finally answers a question that has been debated upon for quite sometime without a clear answer. That is, Can an object travel downwind faster than the wind?

In the run which took place in Tracy, California at New Jerusalem, the car, made of foam reached a speed of 2.85 times faster than the wind which at the time was traveling at 13.5 mph.
