Dimensions and Compatibility
The Thermaltake V200 and V250 are Mid Tower Cases that offer more than enough space to create creative and unique custom builds. Mid Tower Cases aren’t as large as Full Towers and aren’t as small as ITX or MATX Cases.
The V200 is taller than the V250, standing at 17.6 inches and a width of 8.53; the V250 stands only at 16.9 inches and 8.52. With a depth of 18.5 inches, the V250 is larger compared to the V200 17 inches.
Both cases are compatible with Mini ITX, Micro ATX, and ATX Motherboards, unlike smaller cases that can only hold Micro ATX and Mini ITX boards. The Thermaltake V200 and V250 are compatible with most motherboards which offer you a wide range of motherboards to choose from.
Both cases have mostly the same limits and restrictions. Both cases can hold a maximum CPU Cooler Height of 160mm and a maximum GPU length of 320mm.
The Thermaltake V200 and V250 have Drive Bays that can help you expand your storage sizes. Both cases can already carry standard-sized PSUs but choosing powerful and larger PSUs won’t be a problem since the Drive Bays can be removed.
The V200 and V250 also have similar I/O Ports, having 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, A 2/1 HD Audio Port, and a restart button. There won’t be any need to reach the back of your pc to reach essential ports.
These cases are made from SPCC or cold-rolled steel that has passed the Japanese Industrial Standards, which means these cases are made from quality materials. These cases are similar in size and compatibility. Although the dimensions are only slightly different, they can impact your setup in the long run.
But if you have a large setup and hardware, you can choose the V250. If you want a case a little more compact, then go for the V200.
Cable Management
Cable Management is crucial and painstakingly tricky when you’re building a custom pc. Having clean cable management is one of the things that most PCs take for granted. But with the Thermaltake V200 and V250, it won’t be much of a problem.
Both cases have PSU Covers where you can hide your cables, and they have identical backplates that can help with routing your cables. This is handy when you want your pc to be clean from front to back.

Optics
Both cases are similar, but there are slight changes made and different finishes. The front of the V200 has glossy finishes on the accents, while the V250 has matte accents.
Both the V200 and V250 have 4mm Tempered Glass on their side. This can help you show your hardware and RGB settings to the public.
Both cases have integrated 12V RGB front fans designed to work with ASRock RGB LED, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, BIOSTAR Vivid LED DJ, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASUS Aura Sync. This enables you to use your motherboards’ lighting software to change the lights from your RGB Components.

Cooling
Since both the V200 and V250 cases are Mid Tower cases, cooling won’t be too much of a problem. But when creating a water-cooled build, the V200 has the edge since it’s LCS Certified.
The V200 and V250 are very expandable and can accommodate a typical ATX motherboard. It can house a CPU cooler with a height limit of 160mm, a horizontal VGA position with a size of up to 320mm, and a PSU with a maximum length of 200mm (without HDD Rack). If you wish to create a water-cooled system, the V200 can fit a 360mm all-in-one CPU cooler or a 360mm radiator.
Both cases, the Thermaltake V200 and V250, can hold a 360mm or 280mm radiator, three 120mm, or two140mm fans at the front. A 120mm or 280mm radiator, two 120mm, or two 140mm fans. For the rear, a 120mm radiator and a single 120mm fan.
The Thermaltake V200 and V250 come with one 120mm fan at the rear and three 120mm 12V RGB fans at the front. So if you don’t have any budget for better fans, Thermaltake has got you covered.
If you want to build a water-cooled pc, a good choice for you would be the V200 because of its LCS Support. But if you’re going to build a clean pc and don’t plan on water-cooling it, go for the V250. Choosing a case from your need is essential, but you won’t have to sacrifice style for either of these cases.
Price
The best prices for good quality computer cases are around 80$ – 140$—the good thing with the Thermaltake V200 and V250, are inside that price range. Both cases are for sale for 89.99$ (without shipping) on Amazon. These cases are good quality cases for their prices.
The V200 is at a reasonable price because of its compatibility with water-cooled parts and quality build and materials. While the V250 is priced a little too high, although it has the same materials and slightly bigger size than that of the V200, it doesn’t have support for Water Cooling.
